Who runs Aviation Classifieds?
Aviation Classifieds (AC) is wholly run by Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAus)
Is it for RAAus members only?
No. Anyone can sell their aircraft through AC, although we have built tight integration for our members to make selling their RAAus registered aircraft simpler.
Will my ad appear in SportPilot?
While all listings appear on the website, due to space constraints, not every listing may be featured in SportPilot Magazine. We do our best to include as many as possible, but placement is not guaranteed.
How much does it cost per ad?
$99 for 120 days.
If I sell my aircraft within the month, do I get a refund or partial refund of my advertising fees?
Advertising fees are non-refundable, regardless of how quickly your aircraft sells. We encourage you to make the most of your listing during the full advertising period.
Can I sell aviation-related equipment, such as radios and avionics?
Absolutely! The Aviation Classifieds accommodates listings for a wide range of aviation-related listings, including trailers, hangars, manuals, parts, and any other aviation-related items you’re looking to buy or sell.
I am an importer, can I place commercial ads?
Yes, but they won’t appear in SportPilot. The free ad in SportPilot is reserved for non-commercial and domestic sales. Please email advertising@sportpilot.net.au for commercial advertising enquiries for SportPilot.
What do I do if I have a problem with my ad?
If you encounter any issues with your ad, please contact our team at sales@aviationclassifieds.com.au and we’ll be happy to assist.
Has RAAus endorsed the airworthiness of an aircraft advertised for sale?
No. RAAus plays no role in the buying and selling transaction, the Aviation Classifieds site is simply a listing site. Buyers and sellers operate freely with each other without any involvement from RAAus.
What if I get scammed as a buyer?
We recommend attempting to resolve any disputes directly with the other party in the first instance. If you’re unable to reach a resolution, you may wish to contact the ACCC for further assistance. Please note that RAAus does not intervene in buying or selling disputes.
